ITT Interconnect Solutions, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of connectors, interconnects, and cable assemblies, has received design wins for its CA Bayonet Series connectors with major military programs worldwide. The circular connectors meet the stringent requirements of VG52934, and have been established for more than 25 years as an ideal solution for applications requiring rapid mating and positive unmating.

"While we have been providing our military and commercial customers with the reliable bayonet connectors for a number of years, we recently enhanced the multi-purpose connectors to include an extensive variety of military and commercial end bells, including universal versions for simpler assembly," said Keith Teichmann, director of marketing for ITT Interconnect Solutions. ?The new offering has allowed us to further meet our customers application requirements, and has directly contributed to the design wins."

Typical applications for the circular bayonet connectors include military vehicles, mining equipment, railway projects and industrial automation.

 

The versatile connectors are available in a wide range of layouts and styles. featuring a positive bayonet locking mechanism and an optional wave spring for smooth mating, the CA bayonet connectors are available in approximately 180 different layouts and are offered with an extensive choice of rear accessories.

The CA Bayonet connectors utilize multiple insulator and sealing materials to protect the connector from oil ingress and make it capable of withstanding temperatures up to 200癈. Plating options include cadmium and hexavalent green zinc for military applications, as well as RoHS-compliant nickel and zinc cobalt plating. Waterproofing to 14.5psi (1bar) ensure reliability in damp environments.
